Isolators are key elements in modern V.H.F., U.H.F. and microwave engineering. Their fundamental property of non-reciprocity is capable of simplifying the construction and improving the stability, efficiency and accuracy of radar, communication and testing systems, and industrial heating applications.
The devices contain a core of ferrite material biased by a static magnetic field. This field orients the electron spins within the ferrite to produce a gyromagnetic effect. The non-reciprocal behaviour occurs when a R.F. signal, applied perpendicular to the biasing field, interacts with the precessing electrons to set up a standing-wave pattern within the core.
An isolator is a passive non-reciprocal 2-port device, which permits R.F. energy to pass through it in one direction while absorbing energy in the reverse direction.

AMPL Isolators are custom built and are designed to give the optimum performance and cost effectiveness & range for High Power & Low Power GSM/PCS & PCN applications. Our Isolators are available in narrow and octave bands in frequency range of 100 MHz to 18 GHz. The isolators are compact and rugged in construction and light in weight, with the connector type being decided by the customer. The primary advantage of our Isolators is that they can handle high levels of power and are insensitive to appreciable short duration over loads.
