Test Facilities
To meet the growing demands of antenna requirements of the Indian Market, Astra Microwave Products Ltd., has installed two outdoor antenna test ranges viz, the short range and the long range. Both the ranges employ common Antenna Test Instrumentation for Radiation Pattern, Gain and Cross polarization discrimination, Axial Ratio measurements etc. Most sophisticated test instruments such as Spectrum Analyzer, Synthesized Signal Generator, Digital Pattern Recording System Azimuth over Elevation postioner etc. The above facilities can also be used for Accurate evaluation of Radome, Aircraft mounted antennas, Missile Mounted Antennas etc.
 
Test Range Features
Astra Microwave Products Ltd., has installed two outdoor antenna test ranges with the following salient features.
a) Ranges : Two out Door ranges (120Mtrs & 1000Mtrs)
b) Frequencies : 100 MHz to 20 GHz.

g) Max. Size of Antenna** : 6 mtr (Nominal)

k) System : PC Based with Memory Capability
 
* 450 Kgs at an offset of 2 Mtrs
** Size is not a limitation, as long as the weight is with in 1000kgs.

Return Loss And Isolation Measurement test Instrument
Two Scalar Network Analyzer Test Setups are available with Printer/Plotter outputs to carryout return Loss/VSWR, Insertion loss, Isolation measurements, in sweep and CW Frequency range of 0.01 to 20 GHz.

The AMPL Antenna Test Range Facilities are also made available to other agencies on chargeable basis per day. The interested agencies may contact the marketing Department for more details. The Antenna Test Range Facilities are currently being used regularly by the following agencies.
