| MODEL NO : AT123V12 |
Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) have become the order of the day in satellite communications in view of the inherent advantages. Digital transmission has resulted in a VSAT increase in communications power world wide. In particular, the ability of satellite communication to transcend topographical obstacles and move information quickly yet accurately makes it the medium of choice for literally hundreds of applications.
Antenna Products Division (APD) of Astra Microwave Products Limited (AMPL) is committed to manufacture high quality, low cost and easily deployable VSAT antennas. AMPL's VSAT antenna incorporates the latest technology with simple and cost effective design concepts in normal C-Band. The offset antenna is optimized for VSAT network applications. The antenna is used in medium sized earth stations of the INSAT systems which are generally located in small cities and remote area and for business communication.
The AMPL's VSAT Antenna consists of a offset reflector, a corrugated conical Horn and a support assembly for reflector and feed. The antenna can be mounted on a standard base pen mast structure. The antenna can be steered from one satellite to another. The antenna is provided with an Azimuth mount, which can be continuously, rotate by 360° in Azimuth. Also the antenna has capability to steer the beam mechanically with the help of the fine adjustments in Azimuth and elevation planes. This facilitates beam adjustments of ±30° in Azimuth and 5° to 90° in elevation. |
